University of Manitoba Human Resource Association (UMHRA)
UMHRA is the largest student organization of its kind in Manitoba. UMHRA focuses on providing developmental opportunities to aspiring Human Resource (HR) professionals through a variety of unique partnerships and events. It is our guarantee that every student involved with UMHRA will gain invaluable HR knowledge and skills, making him or her a valuable commodity for every business.

- Establish a connection between students, business and HR Professionals to create networking opportunities
- Provide a platform for social interaction and support for HR Management students
During the course of the university year, UMHRA holds 6 themed monthly meetings featuring panel discussions led by experienced HR professionals. The panel members will also provide students with tips to success in the HR industry and students will be given the opportunity to network with the professionals once the formal discussion ends. Free pizza and drinks are always provided and students who attend the meetings will be entered to win awesome door prizes!
Wine & Cheese Event
In addition to our monthly meetings, UMHRA also hosts an Annual Wine and Cheese Event in January. This networking opportunity allows members to actively interact with a variety of HR professionals and prospective employers. All UMHRA members present will also have their resumes submitted directly to the Premier and Executive Partner sponsors. The Wine and Cheese always features a prominent guest speaker from the HR community.
